What makes Passo Tonale so unique is that there is a reliable supply of what it is all about: snow. Even during periods when some of the other ski destinations in the region report a deficit of snow, there is plenty in Passo Tonale.

On top of that, there is a wide variety of skiing here, with slopes for both experts and advanced skiers , but the area is particularly suitable for beginners and children. This is precisely why Passo Tonale is so popular with families with children. All slopes end in the town, making it a natural and ideal meeting point for the whole family for lunch or when the day's skiing is over.

High skiing

Passo Tonale is one of Italy's highest ski areas at 1.800 metres, and there is skiing up to 3.000 metres on the Presena Glacier . Those who take the lift to the top are rewarded with the most beautiful views. In total, there are 100 kilometres of pistes to enjoy, connecting with the neighbouring town of Ponte di Legno (Wooden Bridge), which is definitely worth a visit.

Passo Tonale is also synonymous with off- piste. There are truly great opportunities to enjoy powder snow outside the groomed slopes. There is something for everyone in this beautiful Italian area.

Child-friendly skiing

The ski kindergarten in Passo Tonale is a paradise for little ones. In the area by the ski school there is a nicely screened area with a treadmill for the little skiers, so they can safely and easily practice skiing. The ski school organizes lots of games and generally ensures that children of all skiing levels have a rewarding and positive experience in Passo Tonale – and of course there is the Danish Ski School. So, in addition to the area being easy to navigate and practically impossible to get lost in, children who love skiing are very welcome in Passo Tonale.
