Tajikistan
Tajikistan or “Tajikistan” is an extremely mountainous country in Central Asia. It is a large country bordered by Afghanistan to the south, the People’s Republic of China to the east, Kyrgyzstan to the north, and Uzbekistan to the west.

“Tajikistan was the target of one of Denmark's great explorers Ole Olufsen. He was the first European after the Russians to undertake expeditions in these areas in the late 1800s.
The country has not developed into ordinary tourism at all - most are mountaineers or trekkers. So, a tour of Tajikistan is an expedition that offers quite unusual experiences.
The Central Asian mountain country of Tajikistan north of Afghanistan and east of China is in many ways a very special country in the region. The language is Farsi or Persian as in Iran, where the people of the four other Central Asian countries speak Old Turkish languages.
The mountains are the highest in the former Soviet Union. At almost 7.500 meters the mountain, formerly known as Communism Peak, rises, but has now changed its name to Ismoil Somoni Peak.
But although Himalayan-like mountains exist, there are also quite barren sand or pink plains in between. Probably they are not green and lush as in neighboring Kyrgyzstan to the north, yet incredibly beautiful in their own style. ”
