🛂 Visa and entry
- Visa: Danes receive a free visa on arrival for stays of up to 30 days (can be extended by 30 days). Register on the Hayya platform before departure for your entry permit.
- Requirement: valid travel insurance, return ticket and confirmed accommodation.
- Not: valid for at least 6 months.
💰 Currency and money
- Currency: Qatari riyal (QAR), pegged to the US dollar.
- Short: used almost everywhere; have some cash for taxis and souqs.
- Tip: Approximately 10%; often a service charge is added to the bill.
🚗 Transport, time and culture
- Flight time from Denmark: approx. 6,5 hours (direct flight to Doha).
- Around: Doha's modern metro is cheap and efficient; otherwise taxis and ride-hailing apps.
- Best travel time: November–March; summer is extremely hot.
- Time zone: +2 hours compared to Danish winter time.
- Language: Arabic; English is spoken almost everywhere.
