Polynesia is a huge and scattered group of over 1.000 islands in the central and southern Pacific Ocean. Geographically, the islands form a triangular shape, with the three points of the triangle formed by Hawaii, New Zealand and Easter Island respectively. 3 of the world's most interesting travel destinations. Culturally, the islands are bound together by a common background and language family and common ethnic traits, as the islands are populated by the original long-distance fishermen who navigated through the Pacific Ocean typically at night using the stars as a GPS. And one of Troels Kløvedal's favorites was Bora Bora . And world-famous painter Paul Gauguin's.
You do not get much further from Denmark than the South Pacific, but it is worth the whole trip. As mentioned, there are around 1000 islands, so more than any individual has visited, including Troels Kløvedahl, who loved the huge archipelago.
